I started feeding about 3-4 feral cats when I first moved into my apartment complex. I trapped them, got them spayed/neutered/vaccinated, and then released them back outside. Thomas O'Malley was different though. He had an upper respiratory infection, severe food allergies, and horrible dental problems. We gave him basic medical care, started him on a hypoallergenic diet, and thanks to many of Murkin's fans, we were able to raise $900 for dental surgery to remove his infected teeth. His fur is growing back, his eyes have cleared up, and he has gained over 2 lbs since having his teeth removed. He has been microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated and is ready to find a FURever home. About Murkin: Murkin is a shelter dog! He was born in 2003 and we think he is a great pyrenees/lab/golden retriever/australian shepherd mix. I adopted him from our local shelter when he was about 6 months old. He is very calm and patient, and he loves to hang out and play with other animals, especially cats and kittens.
