when you close your eyes

Description

From third person point of view, I could see a mirror image of myself hovering above my sleeping physical self. As my mirror image began to rise, I could see from its perspective. I began to rise and could see from my house across the treetops to a silhouetted Philadelphia skyline. Rising higher I could see for hundreds of miles. I rose higher still and could see the entire country of the United States from miles up in the sky. The world fell away from me so fast it was as if something separated us instantaneously and I was looking at it from a great distance. I floated there for a moment or two and then out of nowhere, everything looked like blurs of blue and white it seemed as if I went through a blue and white tube at the speed of thought.When the blurs of blue and white stopped, I was floating in complete darkness. I was all alone looking around and could not see anything at all. There was no moon no stars no planets no sun nothing at all. Also the darkness looked a little weird, it seemed flat as if it was lacking something, but what was that something was I did not know. Floating there looking around approximately thirty or fifty white birds flew towards me. As they flew by I was in the middle of the flock surrounded by them then, they passed by me. When they were gone, somehow I was face to face with this "thing". Compared to me it was humongous, it was just so big and intimidating that I was terrified at first but that feeling only lasted momentarily and was followed by a spectacular feeling of awe.There was a brown eye in the upper portion of a silver triangle. The eye and the triangle were encircled in a silver ring and on each side of the ring were the most beautiful, soft white feathered wings moving just a little bit to either help it stay afloat or to help keep it in position. I remember looking at the eye itself closely and it seemed very old and wise as if it had witnessed a lot in it is time, it did blink regularly but I do not remember any eyelashes. It was very much a human eye; it was a mixture of man animal and machine. In addition, it was looking down and to the left at something that I could not see, than the eye looked at me. When I made eye contact with it, I was very nervous because it seemed like I was invading its space. It looked at me, then it looked back at what it was looking at before, then it looked at me than back to what it was looking at again. Each time it looked at me it seemed to want to saying, "what are you doing here? For a second I was scared but that feeling went away and I was than accompanied by the most remarkable feelings of acceptance and safety. I quickly became interested as to what it was looking at so I turned to my right and looked down. I saw a multileveled multicolored rectangle that moved like the waves in the ocean and was as transparent as a cloud or smoke, it was massive but not as big as the eye. Each level was a specific color. The first level was red the second level was white then yellow then blue. The red level was the most visible because it was on the top of the rectangle. From where I was, at that perspective floating there by the eye I could see what I could only ever describe as a spiral move across the entire length of the red level from the right to the left until it reached the end, then it would start over with only a short pause between intervals. Because of the colored levels and the way that it moved, I have always called it the rainbow wave. I was then pulled down to the rainbow, arriving at the beginning of the red level I was no longer me I was a little blue square with some black detail inside of it, it was like I was a tiny blue ghost, also I noticed that the entire rainbow looked like a colorful fuzzy television screen. It looked like the dots that you see when you close your eyes or when your eyes are open in a dark room.
