This was my entry for the Chrysler / The Dark Knight Rises TV spot competition, "Imported from Gotham City". (www.ImportedFromGothamCity.com) Unfortunately, despite following every contest rule, submitting before deadline, and even after being assured of my complete submission, something went wrong during the upload/processing of this video onto the contest website and my entry was lost and unable to be presented alongside other contestants. A rather unfair, unorganized, and unprofessional outcome - especially considering the time I invested into editing this. Frustration aside, I am glad I have this to show for myself. It was fun to make. Editing movie trailers is a dream of mine. Anyways, the objective was to make a 25 second TV spot that incorporated both sponsors (The Dark Knight Rises and the Chrysler 300) equally. Contestants were given all promotional Dark Knight Rises footage as well as footage of the Chrysler. We were also given the complete score, with all 2:45 worth of each instrumental track, from the 3rd Dark Knight Rises trailer to mix the song for the spot however we wished to within the 25 second time limit. The video title, "Storm" comes from Anne Hathaway's line from the previous trailers - "There's a storm coming..." This was the TV spot that I edited and the audio track that I mixed. Enjoy. *note: Contestants were not allowed to alter anything in the clips up for use, so please forgive the annoying changes in aspect ratio and copyright title plates.
