title: stand down (we're taking over) official music video artist: queens of disco sleaze featuring dinky loop production: a queens of disco sleaze/dinky loop flick * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * story: chapter i: "in the future everyone will be famous for their fifteen minute sex tape..." we three queens of disco sleaze (maude, daisy and drella) approached underground darlings dinky loop with a view to producing a music video for our favourite dinky tracks. when questioned as to our individual favourites we answered "every last ****ing one of them." described by legendary post-peel dj dan hegarty as "probably the best band you've never heard of", dinky loop graciously allowed queens of disco sleaze full access to their entire canon of undiscovered musical gems. following an intense discussion about what we queens and those dinkies all loved and hated about music videos we arrived at reference points for the project. 1. peter saville... 2. the shadows 'apache' sample and early hip-hop... 3. 'chelsea girls'... 4. preferably no band- not on a roof, not swimming with dolphins, not at 1000fps like a perfume commercial... 5. the highway's jammed with broken heroes... 6. citizen kane's breakfast montage... 7. the bass riff to 'ceremony'... chapter ii: middle the practical realities of the seven point plan...
