More Info: http://www.spidermanweeknyc.com/ Spider-Man is set to take over the Big Apple and we've got all the info you'll need for the special event! With The Amazing Spider-Man set to swing into theaters in just a few weeks, Sony Pictures has partnered with some of New York City's landmark destinations to celebrate with a week full of events taking place throughout the five boroughs. The events, which will take place from June 25th to July 1st will kick off at the Today show where stars of the film will be on hand to promote the film and give-away prizes to the lucky fans in attendance. Other events include the lighting of the Empire State Building in Spidey red and blue, a visit from Spider-Man himself at Yankee Standium, tours of some of the locations around the city that the various films have shot at as well as an appearance by the Lizard himself, Rhys Ifans who will be signing autographs for fans at the famed Forbidden Planet. In addition to promoting the new film, the events are also aimed at promoting citizens to be heroes in their own communities and volunteer. Other events will include opportunities for people to learn how to create community gardens and even learn CPR training. Any of you planning to hit up NYC to attend any of these week long events? Let us know which event you're most excited for and don't forget to tweet us some pics @ClevverMovies while you're celebrating the release of The Amazing Spider-Man. Until next time, I'm Misty Kingma, thanks for watching.
