Iceland. 2009. dance-installation & exhibition. mixed media. video. print. embroideries. cottonpads. dancer: Gudrun Oskarsdottir Central themes in Shape of Things are manipulation and our obsession with the surface of things. The piece is questioning on the nature of art, phychopathy, intimacy, explorations of love and people's willingness to do things for love. De-constructing and re-constructing the text and the material makes this project an ongoing process. the process is the project. it explores themes of shame, humiliation, skin, the body and hygiene. This piece is part of my Artistic Research project "Personal hygiene - an everyday performance".
