Description
As a 12-year-old in 1992, Severn Cullis-Suzuki made the world stop and pause with her call to the Rio Earth Summit for action to protect the environment and promote sustainable development. Now two decades later as a mother, Severn returns to Brazil in June 2012 for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) and tells Green Cross what has changed since 1992 and what does this latest major environmental event need to achieve in order to safeguard our planet's and population's future. To watch Severn's speech from 1992, go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZsDliXzyAY For more information on Green Cross activities at Rio+20, go to: http://www.gcint.org/rioplus20
