A How-To Guide on installing the latest Official Samsung Galaxy S2 Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 XWLSN Firmware. Download: - Samsung Galaxy S2 Nordic Jelly Bean Firmware (I9100XWLSN) - http://www.hotfile.com/dl/200899346/20a7989/I9100XWLSN_I9100OXXLS8_NEE.zip.html - Odin 3.07 - http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip - Samsung Kies - www.samsung.com/kies Note: This procedure and guide is intended for the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and will not work with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile variants. Guide: 1. Download the Nordic Firmware (I9100XWLSN) V 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and extract it to a folder. You would need .TAR file to flash your Samsung Galaxy S2 device. 2. Download Odin 3.07 and run it in the background. It's recommended that Samsung Kies should be installed as this will install the required drivers. 3. Power Off your Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 and set it in Download Mode by pressing Volume Down + Menu Button + Power Button for 10 seconds. 4. Once in Download Mode, connect your Micro-USB cable to your computer and press Volume Up to activate Download Mode. A box will appear in Odin signifying a successful connection (for example -- "COM3). Note: If it doesn't connect, you might want to check your micro-usb cable. Most of the time this is the reason why the connection doesn't establish. 5. Click PDA in Odin and find the contents of the I9100XWLSN_I9100OXXLS8_NEE.zip file you extracted earlier on. We're looking for the following filename "I9100XWLSN_I9100XXMS2_I9100OXXLS8_HOME.tar". Give it a few seconds to check the md5 for any corrupt data. Click Start. 6. The flashing procedure would normally last five to ten minutes. The device would automatically boot. 7. Note: If you are coming from a Custom ROM or Kernel it would usually get stuck at the Samsung boot screen. This is normal due to platform issues. Nevertheless, remove the battery from the Samsung Galaxy S2 and disconnect all cables. Insert the battery back in and instead of turning it on, access Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up + Menu Button + Power Button for 10 seconds. The screen would flash twice. Once in Recovery Mode, do a Wipe Data (Factory Reset) and Wipe Cache Partition. Lastly, reboot your phone and everything should be in working order. Don't forget to click the like button and subscribe button on top, it only takes a second. Thanks!
