Description
Some say that this is an old Lemurean Temple site and want to excavate around it. Others say that it is a natural occurance. After years of ignoring it the Maori now claim it as a sacred place and refuse to allow it to be desecrated. Many travelers have done the pilgrimage and claim that the wall has very strong spiritual vibrations. To get to it, take the Taupo - Napier Road, about 25 kilometres along the highway turn right (after Iwitahi) into Taharoa Rd. Approximately nine kilometres down this road is a turn-off to the right, Clements Mill Road, turn down this road... and drive through the forest, past a few farms and into the Native Kaimanawa Forest. The wall is about twelve Kilometres along Clements Mill Road on the left and is quite easy to spot... It's a pretty rough road. When you get to the camping area on the right, you have passed the wall already. Park and walk back, about 5 minutes. Goog luck, I always get lost. A good site to look at is... http://www.mysteriousnewzealand.co.nz
