PreventObesity.net Webinar: Food Marketing and the Consequences for Latino Children and Youth Recorded: July 7th, 2011 The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) has joined in collaboration with PreventObesity.net to produce a summer webinar series aimed at addressing childhood obesity in the Latino community. Food Marketing and the Consequences for Latino Children and Youth The Federal Trade Commission recently released proposed voluntary industry guidelines for marketing food to children. This webinar will provide an overview of the regulatory framework pertaining to marketing to children in the United States, the current status of federal law and regulation, and an in-depth discussion about corporations' targeted marketing to Latino children and youth.
