Description
LOS ANGELES (August 8, 2012): L.A. County Supervisors Zev Yaroslavsky and L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, joined by Metro, Caltrans, LADOT, LAPD, LAFD, CHP, LA World Airports and other key officials will detail joint agency preparations for "Carmageddon II", the second I-405 freeway closure in the Sepulveda Pass now scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 29-30, 2012. Officials will again ask for the public's cooperation to "Plan Ahead, Avoid the Area, or Eat, Shop and Play Locally" to avoid major congestion impacts during the 53-hour closure of the I-405 between I-10 and U.S. 101 for Mulholland Bridge demolition.
