The concept of "Burns Like An Ember" started when Chris was part of Urban Dance Company, a hip-hop dance group in Santa Barbara. During downtime, we would freestyle rap and pokemon once came up as subject matter. The chorus Burns Like An Ember spawned and the rest is history.
