Description

Millennial teaching has done great harm to the Church of Christ. By denying the complete fulfillment of the Davidic covenant, premillennialists such as John MacArthur, whom I hold in high regard as an ally in the Gospel, as well as others have made it difficult for Christians to regard Jesus Christ as the King of kings in a truly meaningful way. Of course, men who teach of a 1000 year earthly reign of Christ on this earth are forced to reduce emphasis on the present reality of Christ reign over all, for that would imply that the Words of Scripture regarding the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant in Acts chapter 2 verses 30 and 31 were true....and they are! "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. - Act chapter 2 vs. 29-31 Our citizenship is in heaven, not on earth. Our Lord's kingdom will never be of this world. John ch. 18 v.36. Our King, our Master, our God reigns, rules and controls the actions of all men, over all nations at this very moment. His enthronement speech is found Matthew ch. 28 v.18. He is King, and His Name is Jesus. http://5ptsalt.com
