Seven in ten Americans oppose health plan efforts to deny payments for emergency visits, according to a new Harris Interactive poll on behalf of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Its release comes at a time when many health plans and state Medicaid offices increasingly want to reduce costs by refusing or lowering payments for emergency care.
