short weekend trip to Daimaniyat Islands in Oman with the wife and my mate Derek. We were in luck as the visibility was quite amazing (for the top 12 meters) where the water temp was 29-30c, where as the lower part (which went completely unfilmed was 24c and quite merky). Our ride out to the site was interrupted by a 3-4(ish) meter whale shark in the open water. Apparently a second one was close by , but I was too busy pulling my camera out along with the snorkling stuff. The rest of the week was downright pleasant, good diving, mellow currents, good company and great planning (cold towels, watermelon and lots of ice to cool us down).
