This is my production for Unit 15 - Task 3 of my college course. It is the first production I have done independently and also the first production I am proud of. The criteria for a distinction grade states "Apply editing techniques of technical quality that reflects near professional standards, working independently to professional expectations". After showing it to my teacher ( http://robmclellan.blip.tv/ ) he said that I will get a distinction grade if I can provide the paperwork at a high quality. My teacher said that we can produce an edit of almost anything. Naturally, skateboarding was the first thing that came to mind. The sequence was shot at Millhouses Skatepark, Sheffield on 26/1/2010 and 29/1/2010 on my Sony DCRVX2000e using Sony Mini DV premium tapes and a tripod. The footage was then Logged and Captured into Final Cut Pro. It was Edited in Adobe After Effects CS3, used to slow down the footage as it generates a smoother image and Final Cut Pro, used to add Image Control, Video Filters, Titles, Music and Layers.
