Let me start this one off by apologizing profusely for the completely messed-up colors. I had some catastrophic software failures for this episode, and sadly this was the best I could get without re-editing the entire episode, and I sincerely lack the desire to do that. I actually lost about a third of the episode to weird color fluctuations caused by a crash. I didn't catch them in time and saved over the backup file before I realized what had happened, and I had to scrap about a day's worth of work. I mean, technologically speaking, this episode has been a huge pain. The good news? I'm upgrading video editing software to something less prone to diabolical glitches, so the next episode ought not to be so messed up. On the other hand, I'm now learning the quirks of my new software, but it's more sophisticated so maybe I can do some neat stuff with it. This one didn't come out as clean as I would have liked, but I'm kind of picking things up on the fly. I'll make sure to avoid this kind of editing trainwreck for the next episode. Anyway, hope it doesn't distract too much this time around. Does anybody know how to prevent the colors from darkening when using Sony Vegas or what might be causing that? I'm on a free trial for it right now, but I'd love some advice how to route that basic problem, and in the meantime I'm experimenting to discover why and how.
