Beijing Olympic silver medalist Railey continues to show strength in the deep Finn class (men's one-person dinghy heavy) winning silver and bronze medals at 2011 ISAF Sailing World Cup events. With a world cup season-opening gold medal, followed by a silver medal at the next world cup event, Railey has a firm grasp on the commitment required to achieve gold in London. The 27-year-old has the distinction of being the first US Sailing athlete to reside at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., and has focused on improving his boat handling, skills and speed through international competition. Railey, who won a gold medal at US Sailing's Rolex Miami OCR and a silver at Princess Sofia Trophy regatta, is currently ranked ninth in the world.
