Sharing with you are some highlights of the feast celebrated on August 6, 2010 held at a beautiful quaint village of Lija, Malta. Lija was established as a parish in 1594. The church is built on baroque style. The beautiful statue of Christ the Savior Was built by the Maltese artist, Karlu Darmanin. It shows Christ during His transfiguration on Mt Tabor and with Him, we see the statues of Moses and Elijah. Lija Village is a quaint village with beautiful ancient buildings, house of characters and many of which have seen a variety of historical event, along numerous narrow & winding roads. The village is renowned for its Citrus Fruits produce. Main Clubs of Lija are: Band Club Papa San Piju X; St. Andrija Club; St Michael's Firework Factory and Ghaqda ta L-armar tal-Festi - Parish Church.
