Hello! I'm sorry this is so last minute, I took the pictures almost a week ago, and didn't get to editing until today because I've been pretty busy. I would have done it this morning, but I had to tutor my sister in math, and in the afternoon my flashdrive wouldn't open. I had to wait until my dad came home from work to get it fixed, and then Windows Movie Maker kept freezing. So yeah ;.; Took a morning to dress them, an afternoon/evening to take pictures, over 100 pictures, and a gajillion hours (in my mind) to edit. But enough about me. On to the video. I'll tell you in pieces what it's about. The first "segment" of the video is basically listing the main problems of the world--starvation, poverty, littering, war, bullying, animal abuse, etc. I believe it's self explanatory. The second "segment" shows what we can do to help the world, whether it's volunteering or donating or just being a good friend. The last part basically challenges you to do your part to heal the world. Now, here's the full jist of why I picked the song "Paradise" from Coldplay. I wanted to pick something kind-of original, instead of a song outrightly about bullying, healing the world, etc. I chose Paradise because to me it means that when we were little, we thought the world was a paradise. However, as we grew up, we learned it's not so. There's misery and hurt everywhere (of course, there's love and kindness everywhere, too, but it's harder to spot). But we dream of having the world be a paradise. But the only difference between my point and the song is that I don't want it just to be a dream--I want it to be a reality. I didn't have enough space in the video to say what I'm doing, so I'll be telling you here. I felt it important to say, as the topic is "What YOU'll do to Heal the World." You as in me. I currently volunteer at a nonprofit organization called Girls, Inc, which is dedicated to educating girls from poor families. I also plan to volunteer at PAWS Humane, an animal shelter, when I am old enough (which is in a year). I have participated in "Help the Hooch," which cleans up trash from the Chattahoochee River. I also try to be nice and friendly to everyone, and if I see anyone in need I will definitely do my best to help them. Thanks so much for the contest, KKollect, and good luck to everyone.
