Following a series of early playoff exits with the Cleveland Cavaliers, several critics wondered if James would be able to carry a team to an NBA Championship. After joining the Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, LeBron James became the most hated man in the NBA as analysts, players and fans believed that James was choosing the easy road to a championship. Viewers worldwide relished in his shortcomings as the Miami Heat fell short of winning an NBA Title against the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. James dedicated his offseason to growing both on and off the court, allowing his game to speak for itself and learning the lesson that everything in life is earned, not given. One year later, LeBron James has silenced the critics by winning his third NBA MVP award in four years and becoming an NBA champion.
