Front woman Kellie Marie on Guitar/ Lead Vocals, ukulele and Tambourine, Peter Taffe on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Frankly Murphy on percussion, vocals, guitar sometimes and anything else he can get his hands on, Annie Hanlon on Keys/Synth and vocals, Adrienne Hawley on trumpet/brass and french Horn after Christmas when she brings hers back from the States! Hurray! So as you can see, KATS are in a continual cycle of reinvention and are ok wth this, After trying to box themselves into a genre for 'Commercial Reasons' they now Jam their original music with an unexpected array of instruments and as a result, unusual beauty emerges. Influences range from Led Zepplin to Nina Simone to Laura Marling to Reel Big Fish to the many ridiculously talented bands on the Dublin music scene who just don't get paid enough. The list is endless. (Really) The sound is something between blues and folk and the soundtrack to a film about wind, perversion, and philosophy. Oh, and you can dance to it. This is what they strive for. If feet are not tapping, Kellie & The Scruffs are not happy. http://www.facebook.com/KellieAndTheScruffs/info Tune in again tomorrow!!!
