READ. Maude hasnt been very well over the past few days, We found out on friday morning she had colic. The vet came out and gave her 3 injections and they worked for a few hours but then her muscle spasms started again and she kept trying to roll and go down. So we called the vet out again on friday night and we were told to take her in to the large animal hospital. They got some droppings out and the ultrasound scan showed that her intestines are working properly. She was to be put on a drip with no food. There was still a blockage that night but by this morning she had passed a couple of droppings and the impaction had cleared. She is still on the drip at the moment. She is now getting slowly introduced to food again and hopefully everything will go well and she wont colic again!xxx
