Filmed June 13, 2012. A march conceived from solidarity, but slowly transitioning its messaging to focus on the US student debt crisis. Tonight many familiar faces from Occupy Wall Street joined in the march which wound its way through the West Village to High Line Park where they were denied entry to. The police were out in force as they were the previous Casseroles march on June 6, and even before the march began they announced people must stay on the sidewalks "for their own safety", and repeated that warning/mantra throughout the night. Several people were arrested for minor offenses, e.g., wearing "masks", violating noise ordinance, walking in the street, etc. but marchers seemed inured, and not easily intimidated.
