HOW TO: Tagliatelle with peas (Cooking with Dan #2)

Cooking with Dan #2 | Tagliatelle with Peas: Ingredients (for about 4 people): - 140g tagliatelle (or any other type of pasta) - 100g frozen petits pois or garden peas Optional: - 2 tsp olive oil - 1 small onion , finely chopped - 100g low-fat soft cheese with chives and onion - 1 lemon, finely grated zest - 3 tbsp finely grated Parmesan (or vegetarian alternative) - 1 tbsp chopped fresh flatleaf parsley Prep: 5 min | Cook: 10 mins 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Feed in the spaghetti and cook for about 10-12 minutes, until just tender. (Check the pack instructions for timings) 2. Do the same for the frozen peas. 3. Drain the spaghetti and peas really well, return them to the pot and (if wanted) gently stir in a sauce (I chose pesto). (4.) Optional: Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the parsley and Parmesan over the top and serve right away, with a mixed leaf salad. Nutrition per serving: * 420 kcalories * Protein 22g * Carbohydrate 61g * Fat 11 g * Saturated fat 3g * Fibre 5g * Salt 0.83 g Hope you enjoy this meal! I improvised a bit with the recipe as I wanted to create something I had never eaten before, but the end result was very tasty :) A very good light, summer meal for hot days! Thanks for watching!
