How to Beat Pain - Shock collar excerpt

Description

An excerpt from a BBC1 show about Osteoarthritis pain, where a scientist strapped a shock receiver onto a noter scientist's elbow and one onto his knee to simulate the pain experienced by sufferers of this disease. It was a PAC EXT 2 (UK) dog system - was able to deduce this from close-ups of the sender and a look on the PAC website. It is a system with 64 levels. It was set to level 07 (not 70, but rather 07). And it looked very painful. I was not able to get much info from the home company in the UK, but did have a nice talk with the Germany company PAC and they confirmed basically what I'd found in my study: (http://www.auf-den-hund-gekommen.net/-/experiment1.html). He said (paraphrasing) "If you take a whole litter and put collars on them, you'll find a large range of tolerances even within that one litter, so if the human was in pain from this at level 07, it's probably true." This is the first time I've ever heard anyone from a shock company or trainer admit, that these things are painful. Here is the short excerpt a friend who for various reasons will remain anonymous, posted for me - and notice the scientist's report on the heart rate and cortisol readings right at the end of the film.
