DACT 2012 was an exercise carried out by the Spanish Air Force Combat Command (MACOM) last April at Gando Air Base, Canary Island. The goal of this exercise is teaching and developing advanced tactics for air combat, the participating units included Spanish Air Force 12th & 15th Wings, equipped with the EF-18M Hornet, 46th Wing equipped with the EF-18A+ Hornet, 11th Wing equipped with Eurofighter Typhoon, Spanish Navy 9ª Escuadrilla which flies the AV-8B+ Harrier II and French Air Force Mirage 2000C. Supporting the exercise were tankers KC-707 and KC-130, and the SAR coverage was carried out by local 802 squadron equipped with Superpuma and F-27.
