Description
Children from a summer camp in Waimea (on the Big Island of Hawaii) enjoy a sunny day of Hawaiian games at Pu`ukohola Heiau National Historic Site (July 11, 2012). The game with the dart-like object is moa pah'e (sliding darts) and the other one is ulu maika (rolling stone). The object for both games is to pass through the two stakes. These are traditional games that would have been played for fun and for developing warrior skills.
