Description

http://inpeace.org/early-childhood-education-hoala.php This is the first cut of the Hō'ala and PAT video, finished May 16, 2012. Hōʻala by INPEACE is designed to bring Native Hawaiian families with children ages 0--5 information and guidance about early childhood education programs. Hōʻala strengthens family engagement by linking parents to community resources and providing access to learning and care. - Receive free guidance through home visiting to help your keiki reach their potential. - Let Community Recruiters connect you with comprehensive services and support. - Improve outcomes and prepare your child for future success in school. The Parents as Techers (PAT) program is an initiative by Hōʻala that empowers and supports Native Hawaiian parents in the Wai'anae Community to become their children's first teacher. Parents meet with a certified PAT educator for free monthly in-home visits to gain knowledge in early childhood and brain development. - Participate in parent-child activities using Born to Learn™ curricula. - Build and establish a strong parent-child relationship. - Give children ages 0--3 the best possible start in life and realize their potential.
