The Groovy Movie Picture House is a custom built multimedia venue, designed from the ground up to provide the perfect environment for film screenings, live performance, presentations, digital art, music and multimedia shows at outdoor events. Developed over the past fifteen years, the Groovy Movie Picture House has a solid track record of reliability, versatility, high production values, comfort and aesthetics. Our beautiful blue and red marquee is 15 metres in diameter, and can comfortably seat audiences of 150+. The tent is fully lined with a heavy wool serge blackout liner, which not only keeps the venue dark enough for perfect daytime film presentations, but improved the acoustics inside, while deadening sound from outside. A 2 x 3 metre stage area sits next to our 2.5 x 3.5 metre projection screen. Fully controllable stage lighting illuminates performers, while a top quality, full HD digital projector provides the moving images and our Turbosound PA system is fed from an Allen and Heath mixing desk for perfect audio. All of our electrical requirements are generated on location by a large bank of solar panels, which charge a battery bank for backup storage of over fifteen hours. This ensures reliable and completely silent running, day or night, rain or shine, with no need for a noisy generator to disturb the show. All we require is an area of flattish grass, 16 x 17 metres, and we will do the rest.
