I applaud the announcement of Geoffrey Rush as "Australian Of The Year". He is a very talented, gracious and above all very proud Australian who keeps on making people around the world aware of our country and the talented people who live here. He is also the only Austrlain who has won the "Triple Crown of Acting": an Academy Award, a Tony Award and an Emmy Award. He has won one Academy Award for acting (from four nominations), three British Academy Film Awards (from five nominations), two Golden Globe Awards and four Screen Actors Guild Awards. He is the foundation President of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts. He is the 2012 Australian of the Year. Well done and congratulations to Geoffrey Rush...and let's be proud of who we are and our country and wave the flag on Australia Day!
