Discussing the Syrian crisis, foreign ministers invited to Geneva by special envoy Kofi Annan, said the situation could ignite the region and develop into an international crisis if unresolved. The meeting has been attended by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- Britain, France, China, Russia and the United States -- as well as Turkey, the European Union, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar.
