Games Of Thrones Seasons 2 & 3 Samwell Tarly Interview - John Bradley

4y ago

Games of Thrones Sam Tarly, John Bradley, thinks Sam Tarly is a broad character ranging from being a coward, and known as Ser Piggy in Game of Thrones Season 1, to being someone who can charm and make friends in Season 2 when Jon Snow starts to trust Sam quickly. John Bradley enjoys playing a meaty role, and Sam's back story and circumstances are explained vividly in his monologue on top of the Wall, which was John Bradley's audition scene for Game of Thrones. John thinks season 2 built really well on season 1 with all the characters becoming well fleshed out. John Bradley thinks the success of Game of Thrones is down to human beings being placed in a fantasy setting where people can see humanity examined. In Season 2 Samwell Tarly takes part in Jeor Mormont, Lord Commanders's ranging beyond the Wall, and Sam is drawn to Gilly, a wilding girl who he vows to liberate from Craster's Keep. John Bradley is really looking forward to playing Sam Tarly in Game of Thrones Season 3. John has also starred as Giovanni De Medici in Borgia and is an Austrian Prince in the new movie of Anna Karenina, directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley, Aaron Johnson and Jude Law, which will be released in 2012.
