Recordings of these shows are hard to find, as these special WINS LP's are tough to find. Alan Freed was a DJ on New York City Radio Station WINS. Alan Freed is the DJ who originally coined the phrase "Rock 'N Roll". Unfortunately, even though Alan Freed help gave birth to Rock 'N Roll, history will forever taint his impact by focussing on the payola scam where Alan accepted money (ie. bribes) from record companies trying to promote their records.
