Low passes over the East parking lot at Texas Motor Speedway using HD ground video and lower def onboard camera. Apparently the tailwheel is having trouble retracting ...and the landing pushed the bottom half of my right gear spar back about 1/4 inch. As you can see, the landing was not too hard; the bent spar points to a known defect with FMS 1700 Mustang's "version 1" landing gear. Lucky for me the dealer at RC-Castle.com has already sent me a set of "version 2" landing gears which are much stronger than the set used on this flight. I'll need to spend about 30 minutes switching out the gear set and the plane will be airworthy for tomorrow's flights. Also, if you turn up the sound during the ground shots, you can hear the "Legends" race cars practicing on the track.
