Description
Today I felt like making a fisheye lens using a door peep lens! There are a bunch of tutorials on the web showing how to do this, and after doing some research, I think I found the quickest way to share with you! All you need is a door lens, some tape, some drawer liner and a pvc bushing. I used a 1 ½ x ½ inch SCH40 PVC (reducer) Bushing for the camera that I mounted the lens to. I used the reducer bushing because it already has a hole, so there's no drilling. You will have to decide what diameter you will use based on your camera's lens diameter. I'd recommend choosing a size slightly larger, so you can use the drawer liner to get the snug fit. (The second measurement in the bushing sizes is the hole size, ½ inch works perfect for this door lens) This project turned out much better than I was expecting, I hope you get a chance to go out and make one yourself! If you'd like to see more, check out the behind the scenes of this project! The extended cut version of this build is a vlog-style Quick FX - knoptop original. http://youtu.be/3U9KYgVRU40 Here are some links to supplies if you'd like to order the parts online: 200-Degree Lens Door Viewer http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001ULAJA4/?tag=knoptop-20 Reducer Bushing (this one is size 2 inches x 1inch (hole) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H5MPS8/?tag=knoptop-20 In this episode: Camera Canon T2i - Tamron AF 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di2 lens B-Roll Camera - Kodak Zi8 Fisheye Camera - Panasonic DMC-TZ5 Audio - Zoom H1 Edited in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11
