THE WORLD OF "FIRE AND ICE" BACKSTORY In the beginning there was a lifeless rock...a world with no true existence...a world in desperate need of a flame -- in need of warmth...and then everything changed. "The Flame" came into this world, turning this lifeless rock into a thriving planet, with the creation of humanity. They were called the "Catalysts" and they were the protectors of the world. Created by The Flame, these "Catalysts" would ensure that the fire passed from The Flame would continue to be passed from generation to generation. Life was in perfect balance and everything in the world was at peace, but it would not stay this way for long. "The Ice" -- a force bent on the collapse of The Flame -- came into the world and, with its twisted form of "life," began taking what it could from others...from humanity. It continued to spread like a weed and choke the life from this world as it had done to many before it. The Catalysts fought The Ice long and hard, driving them back again and again but, with every encounter, The Ice deceived the Catalysts, until, they no longer believed they held the right to wield the flame. One by one the Catalysts began to lose the spark that gave them life. With the Catalyst's existence hanging in the balance, The Flame came back to what it had created so long ago. The Flame would not give up its creation without a fight. It would find the remaining catalyst and re-ignite the fire. This is the epic battle for humanity. This planet is the battleground. This planet is IGNIS.
