The USADA is only the latest governing body to make a run at accusing Lance Armstrong, but if the recent Roger Clemens not guilty verdict has taught us anything it's that even widely detested athletes are tough to convict--and Lance is widely beloved. It got us thinking about Luther Vandross. I doubt he ever put his cushy tush on a bicycle seat, but he and Lance have one big thing in common: there's a truth about them that most of us accept, but it's not worth the hassle (or being punched in the face) of trying to convince their devotees.
