Description

The theme from the 1991 TV series "Dark Justice", starring Ramy Zada. Dark Justice was a part of CBS Television's "Crimetime After Primetime" rotating programming (Dark Justice; Scene of the Crime; Sweating Bullets/ Tropical Heat; Dangerous Curves; reruns of Stingray; Sik Stalkings; The Exile; others). This recording is from the CD album "The Snow Files- the Film Music of Mark Snow". Dark Justice was a series about a Superior Court judge, who had come up the ranks as a policeman & a district attorney, and had seen too many criminals go free, due to technicalities. When his wife & daughter are murdered, Judge Nicholas Marshall takes matters into his own hands. Using convicts & shady acquaitances, along with his knowledge of certain cases (usually cases that he dismissed), Marshall seeks to set up the formerly-mentioned acquited criminals with airtight evidence. "Dark Justice" is sort of "Mission Impossible" meets street-level vigilantism. The first season of Dark Justice was filmed in Catalunya, Spain. The 2nd & 3rd seasons were filmed in California, U.S.A.. Ramy Zada played the Judge in season 1. Bruce Abbott Played him in seasons 2 & 3. While all seasons of the series were violent, and comicbook-like, seasons 2 & 3 were much more raunchy & over-the-top. "Matrix" fans will notice Carrie Anne Moss (no hyphen) as Judge Marshall's secretary/ paralegal, Tara McDonald, for all of season 1, and some of season 2.. Mark Snow is most famous for his work on "The X-Files". This album also features a 31-minute suite of music from The X-Files, as well as several songs from other Snow projects.
