Members of ASOTRECOL, the association of workers and ex-workers injured at the General Motors Colombia assembly plant denounce the labor harassment, illegal firings, falsified papers, bribed officials and corruption that they received at the hands of General Motors Colombia. ASOTRECOL has maintained a peaceful protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Bogota for an entire year and has begun a hunger strike, with four members of the association sewing their lips together each week that General Motors fails to resolve the situation. They are prepared to continue the hunger strike until GM responds or they die.
