Description
More than 30,000 people have been forced to leave their homes as a massive wildfire sparked by a summer heat wave continues to sweep across the US state of Colorado. Some residential buildings in the US Air Force Academy there have also been evacuated due to what has been dubbed the state's biggest natural disaster in three decades. Soaring temperatures are hampering efforts by authorities to control the fires, raging for almost a week. Only about five per cent of the blaze has been contained so far. John Terrett reports from Washington.
