The 10 page cover story, shot exclusively by seminal young british artist Matthew Stone, symbolise, symbolize the ‘saint’ and ‘sinner’ aspect of the artist’s character. As explained in Clash’s cover feature, Rocky is more than just a hip-hop cliché - a prolific musician, filmmaker, fashion icon and artist, he embodies the innovative spirit of a 21st Century maestro. The issue explores the intricate nature of New York’s influential A$AP Collective’s fearless leader. He discusses racism in hip-hop (or rather, the lack of it), the comparisons of A$AP to Wu-Tang, codeine drinks, and his fondness for Michaelangelo.
