Harvey Nichols, the Mayor of London and his promotional agency London & Partners, in association with the British Fashion Council hosted an event to celebrate the British Fashion Industry. With the world's spotlight on London this summer, the evening showcased the breadth and range of women's and men's fashion in London and its importance to the economy. Cocktails were provided by London's famous Gin make, Beefeater Gin, along with a delicious range of 'Best of British' canapés, created by Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant. The event was introduced by Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, Munira Mirza, with key speeches from Caroline Rush, British Fashion Council CEO, Dylan Jones, Editor of GQ Magazine and Grazia's Style Director, Paula Reed. British brands and designers including Richard Nicoll, Michael van der Ham, James Long, Lou Dalton, Fyodor Golan, Teatum Jones, Mr. Hare and Bernstock Speirs were present to hear Munira reiterate just how influential the UK fashion industry has become on a global scale and celebrate their part in establishing London's ranking as one of the most exciting fashion capitals in the world.
