Description

I'm not a religious person per se, but quite often when I am out exploring the natural world (hiking, diving, etc.) the experience is what I would liken to a religious one. There are thrilling moments of wonderment at the beauty and immensity of the environment in which I find myself immersed. The mystery of the origins of what I am witnessing, the complexity, and the timescales involved to have arrived there combine to leave me with a hunch that it can't all just be random. While diving off of Panama City Beach, FL over the 4th of July long weekend (2012), I had that experience again, and it always feels like an amazing gift, regardless of how it came to be. I shot these scenes with my GoPro while diving with The Dive Locker dive shop on their boat 'Narcosis'.
