Car Thief Returns Car Twice! - as part of the news series by GeoBeats. A car thief in New Jersey returned the car he stole, only to return a few days later and steal the same car along with some cash from the home where the car was parked, according to local police. He then returned the car a second time, parking it down the street from the owner's home. After having their car stolen and returned twice in the same week, the homeowners were suspicious when they heard a noise in the middle of the night and confronted the burglar who then fled the scene. Police have yet to find the culprit, but they have a composite sketch and may have reason to believe the incidents are related. One thief in Washington got a little greedy when he broke into a car dealership and took 60 car keys and a 2003 Hummer. The police were able to track down the perpetrator within two hours and recover the Hummer and all of the stolen keys. Electronic tracking devices in cars are instrumental in preventing theft or finding the car quickly in the event of theft, including one Corvette in South Carolina that was stolen nine times!
