Description
Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti said that if Silvio Berlusconi's government was still in power the country would be in serious financial trouble. But Monti was forced to apologise for saying so, indicating just how powerful and popular his flambouyant predecessor still is. Berlusconi also recently claimed that a survey shows that his party would gain three times as many votes than Monti's if he ran as a candidate, saying that the country wanted him back. Al Jazeera's Claudio Lavanga reports from Rome.
