The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust is a UK registered Charity (No: 1096814) and has been operating in The Gambia since 2002. The Trust works to reduce rural poverty through improving the health and welfare of working equines. This is done through a combination of educational programmes, veterinary care and training for Gambians in trades such as farriery and harness making. In ten years the charity has made a huge difference to the lives of many people and animals and will continue to do so for years to come.
