Description
Hey there, I'm Karli Bulnes. The French won big at the Australian Film Awards over the weekend. Hear why The Artist's four-legged star is taking a cue from Brad Pitt in today's PopSugar Rush. Bérénice Bejo: "He's doing like Brad Pitt, I think I heard he's going to stop working in three years, well Uggie thought Brad Pitt was smart so he's going to do the same." Bérénice Bejo told us that her Artist costar Uggie the dog may be following in Brad Pitt's footsteps by announcing he'll retire in just a few years! Brad made that declaration in late 2011 and later clarified that he didn't mean to put a, quote, "exact deadline on my expiration date," but Uggie's film family says it may be time for the famous dog to hang up his acting hat. Penelope Anne Miller: "It could be that he's getting tired and all this attention is wearing him out." For now, Uggie can revel in all the red carpet excitement of award season, as The Artist won the prize for best film and Jean Dujardin picked up the best actor trophy at Friday's Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in LA. That's where Berenice and her director husband Michel Hazanavicius shared some exciting news with us! Lindsay Miller: "The husband and wife team behind The Artist tells me they will be teaming up again." Michel Hazanavicius: "It's going to be talking and with colors." Berenice Bejo: "It's very easy to work with Michele, he's a very easy guy, and he's got a very, always the same temper." Another well-known husband and wife hit the red carpet — Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Liam Hemsorth wasn't far behind them, though he was without girlfriend Miley Cyrus, and best actress winner Meryl Streep told us about the next project she's excited about on her way inside. Meryl Streep: "I have a film with Tommy Lee Jones which is a marriage comedy." And while the French stole a lot of the spotlight at the award show, some of Australia's most well known actors gave their two cents on the Aussie's ever-growing invasion of Hollywood. Geoffrey Rush: "It's just kind of snowballed." "I don't know it must be the water."
