Things are about to get a little more confusing in the HDR Space! So Adobe released Lightroom 4.1 (as well as Camera Raw 7.1 and DNG Converter) and one of the features that they talked about in the release was the support for 16, 24, and 32 bit HDR TIFF images. These days we usually see HDR as the processed shots that come out of Nik HDR Efex Pro or Photomatix. What does this processing thing mean? In short, you can merge a series of images to a 32 bit image, and use the develop module with a lot more range than you normally can use on a DNG JPG or RAW image.
