Description

James Simpson aspires to be a famous actor. But some bad luck makes finding work almost impossible for him. Jamie Gilbert had a dream of joining the police, but his ambition was crushed after background checks revealed his father was a member of an infamous criminal network, "the clowns". However neither man is willing to let go of their desires without a fight. Simpson desperately accepts an unusual role in a production directed by the mysterious Mr J, a man fascinated by the human character. Gilbert takes the law into his own hands as a masked vigilante, and with the help of a friend in the police, he gains access to classified information that will help him ruin his father's gang. In return, Clive asks Gilbert to help him track down a serial killer, who removes a body part from each of his victims. A strange coincidence causes the men's paths to cross, but when the plot darkens, questions start to arise about what is fiction, what is reality, and whether the truth about the murderer will ever be revealed?
